This Fiction Book Club is an academically enriching programme built around Newbery Medal and Honor–recognized literature, including Because of Winn-Dixie (Honor) and Flora & Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures(Medal), alongside carefully selected companion texts such as Stone Fox and The BFG.

Newbery-recognized books represent the highest standard in children’s literature—chosen for their literary excellence, thematic depth, and enduring impact. By engaging with these texts, students are exposed to rich language, complex characters, and meaningful themes that go far beyond surface-level reading.
